Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

You must be at least 18 years old to use Scuttle. If the age of majority in your country of residence is higher than 18, you must meet that higher age requirement. To create an account, you must provide your date of birth and agree to Scuttle’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We take reasonable and proportionate steps to reduce the risk of anyone under 18 using Scuttle, including age checks where appropriate.

Scuttle has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. For the purposes of this policy, a child is anyone under the age of 18. Any use of Scuttle involving a child is prohibited. This includes grooming, sexual communication with a child, arranging or attempting to arrange sexual contact with a child, and creating, possessing, requesting, obtaining, accessing, sharing or distributing child sexual abuse material.

Any content or behaviour on Scuttle, including messages, photographs and videos, that may involve a child or otherwise raises a safeguarding concern should be reported immediately. Reports are assessed through moderation processes, including automated detection systems where appropriate. Where use by anyone under 18, or exploitative behaviour, is suspected or identified, Scuttle may remove content, ban users, delete accounts and retain relevant information where necessary to support safeguarding, comply with legal obligations, assist investigations or cooperate with law enforcement and other competent authorities.

If you believe that a child may be at immediate risk of harm, contact the police or your local emergency services immediately.
